The Island
Harbour Island is a charming, three-mile long island that was once the capital of the Bahamas. Dunmore Town offers lovely pastel-painted captain's homes, some from the 1700s, friendly people, and good restaurants. Wander the town looking for the perfect souvenir, go bone fishing, scuba diving, boating, shelling, or walking on the beautiful beach. Snorkeling is available right off the beach at low tide. Whatever you do, we know that everyday cares will fade away and you will fall in love with Beyond Reach and Harbour Island.
How To Get There
The closest airport is across the bay on the island of Eleuthera. North
Eleuthera is served by Delta, Continental, and Twin Air (a regular charter
service out of Fort Lauderdale.) From Nassau, connections can also be made
to North Eleuthera on Bahamas Air and Southern Air. From there, a ten-minute
water taxi ride will bring you to charming Dunmore Town on Harbour Island.
